SG.43 1d Red Imprimatur Plate 79 (AF) a unique item removed from the Registration Sheet which the rest of resides in the British Postal Museum archives. The Registration / Imprimatur sheet was the first sheet off the press and was sent to Somerset House for inspection and suitability for perforation, if suitable the plate was then registered. Plate 79 is one of the earliest SG.43 1d Red plates. Stamp also displays the Constant Flaw "blob above G" variety. Imprimaturs are both ungummed and imperforate.
