Britain's rarest high value and a stamp that is missing from even most advanced collections. This stamp does have a couple of issues as do many of the larger stamps, mainly a few pulled perfs upper-left and a faint horizontal crease not visible from the front. Dated 1884 putting it very firmly in the blued paper period, the white paper period started in 1889 so 100% this is on blued paper, you can even see the delicate bluing in the paper. As always the scan does not do this stamp any justice at all, it actually looks so much nicer in the flesh. Cancelled with a London, WEST STRAND B.O - W.C CDS dated January 9th 1884 and a T.M.B. - G.P.O. Box Cancel.
